Don't use the ones in the dash--they break easy and are supposedly difficult to replace.

That's the one thing I have found in looking at so many of these cars. The German's can manufacture the Ultimate Driving Machine, but not the Ultimate Cup Holder....

The Germans serve their beer in large mugs. Can't make a cup holder that big and still have room to shift.
My 840 has two factory cup holders--on the inside of the glovebox door of course. That is a bit of a stretch to reach.

If it's anything like what the e36 has in the glovebox door, they're pretty useless
