How do you apply static cling tint??? the box was lacking good instructions

well the static cling didn't work out AT ALL!!! so im just going to stick to normal tint... its this stuff at wallmart thats like those little stickers as a little kid used to stick on the sliding glass window and tey stick on with out sticky stuff... kinda rubery... well if anyone has any experance with tinting windows i would appriciate it...
