Look up LKM repair and Mustard relay repair
A soldering iron and a roll of flux core solder fixes most of the light problems on the early E32
$5 worth of capacitors and the same soldering iron fix most instrument cluster problems too.

I live to answer technical questions on older big Bimmers. About 4 forums worth
Sticky hazard light switch is most likely cause of random actuation. It is in the finest possible location to collect spilled drinks if I recollect correctly. Sticks partway down.
If that switch is ok, I would suspect the CCM crash control module next.

Orange module are usually related to the air bags.
The crash control module is located under the rear seat but separate from the power distribution panel.

what is the year of your car?
It could be the control module under the hood that is the problem with your head lights?

well how can u tell if its the CCM for the hazzards and the LKM for the head lights. Cause the CCM I pop the top off I grounded myself first but it got this orange stuff all over it but it look ok so i think its the switch that needs to be cleaned up. Now the LKM how do u check it and how do u take it out.
