On my old Mercedes the oil cap came off while i was driving, i dunno how long i went before i noticed. But i was sitting at a light bout just over a kilometer before i was to jump onto the Trans-Canada highway, and i noticed steam/white smoke coming out from under the hood just by the right pass head light. So i pull over to check it out, i poped the hood and the was oil EVERYWERE. i mean everywere, everything was coated in a thin layer of black oil. i was so pissed off. It would not have been good to drive it any farther than i did.
