i may not be an expert on the subject. but i can obviously see one group is acting civily. taking part in elections and for the most part preaching peace and diplomacy. and another group declaring jihad
"Iraq's Sunni Arabs, the favored group under the 24-year reign of Saddam Hussein, are far more hostile than other Iraqis to the U.S.-led coalition."

so sunnis werent in power under saddam, and arnt the back bone of the insurgency.... FUCK YOU.
ALSO about the disaproval of our invasion of iraq
"Fewer than four in 10 Shiite Arabs say the same (as do a mere one in 10 of the broadly pro-coalition Kurds.) "
lets grab some more info shall we??
"Similarly, 72 percent of Sunni Arabs oppose the presence of coalition forces in Iraq today, compared to 54 percent of Shiite Arabs (and just 12 percent of Kurds). And most threateningly, 36 percent of Sunni Arabs say attacks against coalition forces are "acceptable" — triple the level among Shiite Arabs. Also, 29 percent of Sunni Arabs say coalition forces should leave now, compared with 12 percent of Shiite Arabs. "
hmm, what im trying to say here. is SCREW OFF some more.
i may not be an expert. but ABC news definatly knows more than you on this subject..

Are you Iraqi? NO. Have you lived in Iraq? No. Do you have family in Iraq? No. Guess what. From a person who is Iraqi, has lived in Iraq, and has his entire family living in Iraq, let me tell you the truth. First, just because the former president was "sunni" by name, does not mean the rest of the sunnis lived better off than the rest. We get shafted left and right, we get killed and tortured, it doesnt matter who you were. Also, saddam had kurds, shiites, christians, and turkmens in his government. He did not care what you were, you just had to be Baathi. And those of us who were not Baathi were screwed.
Second, have you noticed that a lot of sunnis die in the suicide bombings. Explain to me how a fellow Iraqi sunni would kill his brother for the sake of Iraqis. Those that do the bombings are not Iraqis, they are foreigners that will kill anyone. The people do not and will not support those that try and kill them.
Third, if you knew anything about Shiites, they believe in something called Tuqya. That means lie and befriend your enemy. Then when your enemy is not noticing, you backstab them. Think and ask yourself this question. How can those who call the USA the greatest devil in the world be helping the "devil"? Plus, the shiites in Iraq are being run by Iranians. Ali al-sistani, the US "friend", is an Iranian. And Iran has been the enemy of the USA and most of the world for a very long time. That does not make any sense.
Lastly, I do not believe that this insurgency will last much longer but only if the US chooses how they fight carefully. They need to make sure that they are doing their job without pissing off the rest of the people. And only then, will you see a drop in attacks.
