Central Locking

Bubba here with a 1990 325ic and the pasenger door cannot be unlocked by any means (trunk is OK). I can lock the drivers door by getting in, shutting door and pushing lock button down and also unlokcthe same way or by lifting inside handle. If I lower drivers window and push lock button down, the door locks and I can unlock by use of the key, however, I cannot lock with the key. I have had her all apart and believe the drivers door lock motor is gone so I ordered (from salvage with a six month warranty) both the central lock module and a ddriver's door lock. I also believe that the drivers door lock key cylinder does not have enough force to move the fork (that the leg on the lock cylinder fits into on the door lock) to lock the door (I can remove cylinder and reach in and with door shut, lock and unlock with my door on the lock fork). Ihave read many DIY form various E-30 sources, but if anyone else wishes to step in, I would appreciate it. Also, if I get her fixed, I will post the results.
