E36 Mirrors removal

This is a fairly easy DIY and only take like 5 minutes per mirror...

Tools:
Stuby flat screwdriver
10mm socket wrench

As a warning... BRING WINDOWS DOWN.....

1) Remove the cover, use the stuby screwdriver and put it between the cover and the door, as seen in the picture, then push the scredriver away from your self, fairly easy there is only two tabs so once you here two "tac" noises it's loose, then just pull it up

here you can see the two tabs in question..

2) Disconnect the mirrors, make sure you pull as much wire out as possible from the door and simply disconnect the mirrors

3) Remove mirrors, the mirrors are held by 3 screws (10mm) just unscrew them but keep in mind that once last screw is loose, mirror might fall so keep holding on to the mirror all the way

here you can see how the mirror was attached easily

From here on it's just the opposite...

I replaced mine with m3 style ones...
