What made me stay with BMW-Forums was that there was the great mix of loyalty in the absence of mods and admins (actually I chatted with El Pres for a month like we were on the same level and I never knew he was a mod-heck I didn't even know what a mod was then)...Also the members kept it cool and decent...without losing the focus and love that we all have for our cars.
These are the ingredients of a GREAT CHAT BMW FORUMS!!!!
BMW-Forums was just right and still can be....but all the cool people either left long ago (El Pres, Deloriant, T-mac(?) or came here...
What I liked about BMW-forums when I joined was that it wasn't like serious or nothing everyone was there to trade tips and give out mod ideas and DIY write ups....and that wasn't even in the lounge area...
Some forums that I will never ever be apart of are taken too seriously by the mods and admins who are obsessed with controlling every letter in every word that comes out of their member's mouths....I mean after all it's only a forum about freakin' cars and not like the quest for the cure of cancer or AIDs or something.
Other forums are too big, unfocused and outta control for me to every want to join....
