633CSi brake booster kits & CSi & CSi A
I have an 1984 633 CSi I am searching for a brake booster rebuild kit or any info as far as O-rings & seals for it.
It has started leaking power steering fluid from between the booster and the master cylinder at the rate of 1/2 quart in 2 days.
I am totally unable to spend the $300 + for a new one. or even $200 for a rebuilt one. PLEASE HELP>>>>>
Also can someone define the difference between the 633 CSi and the 633 CSi A models????
i dont know the difference between those two, but usually it has nothing to do with the brake booster, maybe the body, or some kinda luxury thing, or maybe automatic.. if your trying to getting one for a 633CSI A, just make sure you have the same kind of transmission and it should be interchangable

No, I was needing rebuild info for the booster and was wondering what the designation A is... My BMW has 1 tag that says 633 CSi A and another one that just says 633 CSi, Mine definetly isnt automatic. I was wondering because I am making a detail board to put beside my car when I show it and needed to know to find the right quantity of each model built. There were different quantities of the "A" than the regular series. Seems even the local BMW dealer here dont know of any rebuild kits or can even give me O-ring sizes or anything else, guess I will have to tear it all down, get out the micrometerand find them myself. Sure glad I have a spare vehicle to drive.....

Slyhog,
the "A" stands for Automatic [transmission]. The tags on the boot lid never have the "A" after the model designation (be it 633CSi, 325i, 525iX or whatever). Though it is to be found on the user's manual and any other printed matter, even the VIN tag.

There are specific stores which can provide you good quality parts in your BMW,where you can find BMW brake caliper, brake booster and other quality parts which i think that could help.
