Yea once again Sony loses out... that company is a mess.. layoffs (10,000) and restructuring.... they need to figure things out and quick. Sony has lost its status as "industry leader" in most product categories which it dominated only a few years ago. Sad really... hopefully their new CEO (forget his name) can right the ship.

The layoffs may help to remove some fixed costs associated with the company and lower their break even point. So in some ways the New CEO may be doing things that will help get sony back in line and more profitable.
