hi,
I just bought a 1995 540i 6 speed manual transmission with a bad clutch. I was told before buying that I needed a clutch kit.
Has anyone worked on anything like this in the past?
I am looking at buying a clutch kit but was wondering if anyone has recommendations.

Replace the pilot bearing, throw out bearing and plan on at least getting the flywheel machined if it wasn't toasted by driving w/a bad clutch. Also pay attention to the center support bearing on the driveshaft. They usually need replacing (which would be a driveshaft replacement since the joints are non-servicable)
