burning rubber smell in engine bay.......
 

Hi all,
just looking for some ideas on whats wrong with my e39 530i auto, its a right hand drive car i have and i'm getting a burning rubber smell from the engine bay, i cannot locate where its coming from, i got new tires on the car recently and got the tracking/allignment done aswell, i've left the car running for a while without driving it an the burning smell is still there, anybody else experience the same troubles? any help is appreciated........

oh its seems that the smell is coming from the drivers side of the engine bay, in or around the manifold area

I'd be checking for a pulley bearing on the way out and causing drag on the drivebelt
