bmw radiator replacement AGAIN

I was wondering if anyone could help me i'm driving a 530i m-sport 2001, petrol automatic with air-con. my radiator went 2 months ago and i got it replaced and fitted for cheap through a friend of a friend but the rad blew on me a month and a half later and i had to get it repaired so i brought it to a BMW specialist (what i should have done at 1st i know but I'm out of work at the minute and strapped for cash big time)and he fixed it, he told me the rad wasn't new that he thinks its a reconditioned rad, now its leaking again and i have to top it u every couple of days, i can see that its leaking from 1 of the crimps on the rad so its definitely the radiator.
now I've been on the net looking for aluminum radiators but they are all fairly pricey, i know if i was working i wouldn't have a problem paying top dollar while i was working but now I'm out of work every penny counts.
I don't think its the head gasket causing this because there is no oil in my coolant reservoir and i do not have white plumes of smoke coming out of my exhausts, any help will do thank you.

A leaky radiator is a leaky radiator, if it was junkyard scrap to start with from an original it's most likely at the end of it's life like your previous one was. There are on some online places to get oem style parts for not a HUGE outlay. Autohausaz is one, Pelican or BAV are some others. The oem stuff will last about 5-10 years depending on where your at in the world, Dublin should be closer to 10 unlike Arizona which is on the other end of the scale. Also buying stateside right now works out better for you as the pound is doing much better than the dollar.
