Fracking Stereo Code - United Bimmer Community

So, ok:

I posted a while back about this, and here we go again... I have a '92 525i and just had some work done and the stereo is out and reading CODE again.

I still have the code written down from the last time (battery change), but now it won't work. Occasionally I'll get a short beep as I press one of the number buttons, but it won't activate. Is there some trick to it that I'm missing (or some step I'm not remembering)?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My dealer's instructions on this topic...worked for me. Key on, radio On. Enter code. If it's saying code wait, you have to leave the car in the ACC position for 90 min before trying again. Call the dealer and verify the code? Hope this helps, but I expect you're already this far. I think she told me you had either 3 or 5 tries before it locked in the wait mode.
