No your not allowed to pass in the corners, but you can catch up to a car in the corners. Here is my example, I was on the track behind a Mini Cooper S (which is faster then my car of coarse) In the turns I was right on her bumper and not going as fast as I could have through the twisties, we would get on the straight and I would not be able to keep up with her, but through my later braking and being able to keep speed I would be right back on her ass, and I'm pretty sure if there were timed laps (which there arent) I would have been recording faster lap times (faster lap times mean better position). I have had instructors who would race their cars and could tell me about the benifits and how if you learn correctly you would be able to go faster then an identical car and such, which is the point I was trying to make. If I had the time and the money I would get into club racing but since i'm in college I can't really do that at this time since I dont have the cash to make it work, but i am going to try to get serious at auto x because its comparitivly cheaper.
