I'm sure it sounded harsh, but brotha, I've been there and done that. My wife and I were together for 2yrs in HS, 1 1/2 yrs after, and decided we weren't ready to move on. We were both too immature.
Fast forward two years: We meet randomly and decide to try a date. Fast forward 3 years: I'm married and loving it.
