I've decided it isn't software... the SSC is hitting a spike of low voltage and going into emergency shutdown mode as soon as windows starts. I can sit in the bios all day long, but as soon as the computer actually starts doing something, it draws current and dies. The SSC i have is rated for 90 watts and 6.3 amps, which matches what the computer says it needs, so one of two possible situations are going on here. Either my computer is drawing too much current with just an hdd, cpu, and ram, which i doubt, or the wires are too thin bringing a constant 12v from the battery. I'm gonna hook up a multimeter to it tomorrow and see if i can figure it out.
