Cool Helping the New Members

Most of our advertising is focusing on people signing up who have problems with their car. For example they might search around for some issue and find us and post up a thread about it. I believe that's how most of us got into the forums world in the first place, right?

That said, we need to start paying a lot of attention to members who are new to united bimmer and post a thread asking for help. We need to jump on those as quickly as possible and be as helpful as we can, because that's the best way to convert one-post-stand members into post whores like torque (just messing with ya man, it's so easy, haha).

I just happened across this thread and few people had replied because it wasn't in a popular mainstream subforum. What are the chances of her sticking around if she posts that thread, comes back in a few days and sees only one or two replies that aren't very helpful? Haha.

I can do my best to get new members here by buying advertising around until we get better search engine rankings, but until then can you guys help me as a whole to work on improving the retention rate of new members by doing something the other big forums don't.... answering new member's questions throughly?

Thanks everyone! We're approaching 30,000 visitors and steadly growing everyday. Let's keep up the good work and continue working to be the best quality bmw forum on the internet.
