Hum, depends on your budget. If she'll have a 2 seater, I LOVE the SLK320/230.
If you decide to stick bimmer, I recommend the 330Ci. If you get an M, she won't drive it the way it's supposted to be driven and that'll be one less enthusiastic M driver on the road.
