A very common subject for the e36 population is what intake should i purchase for my car. Here are your folling options:

Dinan Cold Air Intake

Dinan Intake is as some people call it, a true CAI. This sytem runs down towards your bumper, rather than sitting in your engine bay.

Conforti Cold Air Intake

Many People like this intake because of the ITG Foam Filter which has proven to keep more particles out of the engine. This intake sits in the engine bay but has a heat shield all the way around it, which keeps it very cold even when the engine bay is burning up.

AA tuning

just like the conforti intake this system sits inside the engine bay and has a heatshield all the way around it. This system also comes with an additional shield for the top of the intake, which some feel is not necassary since it pretty much lines up with the hood. It does make it look good though

ECIS BMW

Just to throw it out there, this is the intake i use on my 325. This intake is much like the conforti and the AA. This system also comes with the heat shield, which i can say keeps the intake very cool. This system comes with an optional top shield much like the AA (but will cost you extra) My ECIS CAI height Shild lines right up with my hood liner, so i see no need for it, but the look it gives might make me purchase it.

Cosmos Racing

This system is much like the Dinan as it goes into the bumper This is the cheapest out of all the intakes listed above. Many people like this system because it is 3.5 inches rather than most 3inch CAI's. People also say this intake has a very nice sound during hard acceleration.
