Well folks, the bimmer is heading for the local dealer... I check the codes again this morning, as the performance has slowly become worse. Here is what I found -

Ignition coil - cylinder 5 - (dealer code 31)
Misfire cyl #1 - (dealer code 238)
Misfire cyl #5 - (dealer code 242)
Secondary Air System Flow too low (Cyl 1-3) - (dealer code 245)
Secondary Air System Flow too low (Cyl 4-6) - (dealer code 246)
Large Evap leak detected - (dealer code 254)

uh oh.
