This is not in the least helpful for this thread, but just for the record, ASC and Traction Control are two different things. If your car has both (depends on model) if you bump the ASC button, it switches to traction control. This is normally used in deep snow. If you press and hold the ASC button for several seconds, it turns off both ASC and traction control. This is used for burnouts and assorted misbehaviors.
