Would much rather not go down this route but got this car as a replacement for my old trusty 316i when it's head finally went. It was only supposed to be a temporary replacement until I got a newer BMW but it's actually a fantastic car and I'd like to keep it a while yet now. It only came with one key - with no remote on it. My local BMW dealership want £160 for a Master Key and for all I know it may not even work, the car is very old and who know's what's been done to it? £20 for a universal unit seemed the cheapest option but unless I can sort out where these two wires (yes, from the unit) go then I'll have to just settle for the manual central locking I guess.
