New spark plugs when coils replaced but will check if any are loose. Knock is in sync with the rpm's. Knock is definately internal.
One little thing I forgor to mention was . . . oil changed late - knock developed right before it was changed.
Not familiar with the knock sensor or damage caused by detonation - raises the question, damage to what.
Yesterday saw drops of oil on the ground - got underneath to see where dripping from. Appeared to be from the oil pan - bolts were tightened. Forgot to see if drops appeared again.
Still runs great but I know I am foolish for continuing to drive it.
