I would suggest converting from the tii exhaust manifold to a header. I am currently running the unit from BMP design and it flows really well. Before that I had a STAHL header that worked great also, but when it needed to be replaced I did not feel like dropping 600 for it. The BMPis around 200 if I remember correctly. The header would be a great addition to your sidedrafts and cam swap. It would really help get rid of all that extra air and fuel you are bringing in.

Also, if you are ever looking for a big break kit, Top End Performance sells one for 500 that doubles the frictional area of the front break pads. I am looking into that for the future.

Where are you located? If you are anywhere near the west coast we should meet up and cruise the canyons out here. I know some great roads that are perfect for the short wheel base of the 02.

Sorry, im on the east coast. New Jersey. No canyons around here.

I'll probaly be upgrading the manifold, but I dont know when. I'm afraid to, thinking I will lose my oh so precious torque. How does it alter the power curve? Where can I get this header you are talking about?

The brakes are fine for now, but its always in the back of my mind. To be honest, I didnt notice much of an increase in top end "response" from the MSD box. Do you mean throttle response, or power? It definatly runs smoother, and will sometimes start without the starter turning, due to the arc shooting power of the ignition, so I know the ignition is hot enough. I still need to fiddle with the timing, and maybe mess with the jets too. For whatever reason, I feel like theres more power to be unleashed with some more tuning.

BTW, does the outlet pipe on that header mount to the exhaust in the same position as the Tii manifold, or does it require some cutting?

I've been trying to get ahold of you on AIM
