Before the 2k2, every car on the road was either a muscle car that used suspension much like what you would find on a tractor, or a gigantic boat that had a 0-60 in the mid 20 second range.

The 2k2 was the first non sports car to actually handle well, it bridged the gap between high performance sports cars and everyday grocery getters.. much like the 3 series of today still does.

precisely, it won't even touch the brute acceleration of a late 60's early 70's muscle car, but it will run cirlces around them once you hit the turns. And it is very smooth and easy to drive. The complete opposite is true with most american muscle cars

new gen dorks

I'm not knocking newer BMWs or anything, but I'm always amazed by these 1995+ bimm driving idiots who didn't even realize BMW made cars in the 70s, and who think "teh 2002 iz gey" The 16/2002 fathered ALL modern BMWs.

I love the 2002s someday I hope to have one in beautiful condition as I think its a car that most people today would not recognize it and its cool to have something other people dont have.
