It has been a long time since i posted on this topic. Just to let you know i replaced all the valves, shaved the head. I drove the car for several months, but due to the high miles 200k or more. I sold the car for $3,500. I just recently bought a 1997 328 convertible. It has either a blown head gasket or cracked head, there is literally coolant dripping out the tail pipe at idle. I bought the vanos and timing tools needed, to complete the job. I will keep you posted.
