Hi guys, wonder if anyone can help. 98 540i touring, 165k, faultless until now! In park and neutral is ticking over at 2500rpm, not much fun in an auto as need to be standing on brake when you shift into d or r! Whatever speed you get up to, if you take foot off throttle it will stay at that speed. Tickover speed has increased over the last 100 miles from 2 to 2 and a half thousand. Getting more difficult to slow her down now and need an idea of where to start looking for a solution. Please can anyone offer any help. Regards. aaron
