All-
On my 1997 BMW 318iS.... I opened up my air intake compartment to find that beneath the filter, and that huge box, the padding around the sides is falling apart. There was a bunch in the bottom corner and i went to pick it out to find that if i touch any of it, it just crumbles. There is also a plastic cage that holds it down, and that is kind of broken apart.
Should I just remove all of this? Can I buy a replacement anywhere? Does anyone even know what I'm talking about?
