I started driving in the mid 50's. Didn't get my licence until '59 though
We had some fun things that we did with cars that were influenced by the James Dean movies among others.
Suicide Drags--about an 1/8 mile downhill on a 2 lane road into a 1 lane bridge
Had to wait for a few slow ones so we were neck and neck where it squeezed down
Looking over and Grinning at that point usually caused their brake lights to come on abruptly
Car Flying before they smoothed out all the roller coaster bumps on country roads to keep us from killing ourselves. Airborne at 105 was COOL!!! Add in 4 or 5 Screaming people in the car with you and it was REALLY COOL!!!! And then we get to do it again on the NEXT ONE!!!
And you thought it was just Your Generation that was Crazy?
