A lot of times a loose gas cap will cause an evap emissions failure. You stop fill up, tighten the cap and within a few run cycles it goes away. Is that what happened? maybe. But if the light went out and you're not having any other problems I wouldn't get to concerned until it comes back on........if it ever does.
