The damage to the bottom of the collar, aka where the metal is all smashed in, was from the rock that i hit off the road, dragging the car onto the tow truck and removing it from the tow truck when we put it into the storage unit to dismantle.
now this is so far into the past i really dont care anymore, but this is the 4th time (not including mine) ive heard of one of those brackets failing, there was a local shop in cary that does alignments and bmw race car prep that had seen it happen and had advised me against them and told me to go with groundcontrols like he had on his e30.
I refuse to post anymore, let the purchasers make up their own mind, for the record a set of AST5100s is going on my M3, ive had it with cheap stuff, and im glad the PO had the common sense to go oem with everything he put on the car.
it lasted a whopping 3 miles nice stuff high quality and all and made in fucking china.
