OK, the fun part. You get to rip the inner door panel off your car, run a couple of jumper wires to the lock solenoid and see if you can make it fire manually. If it does, you have a wiring problem. If it doesn't you need a solenoid. As far as the trunk latch is concerned check fuses, relays and of course wiring. Could also just be a worn contact in the trunk switch, pull it off ohm it out and see whats what.
