I have a 98 M3. I was driving at about 50 mph when my M sounded like a subi with exhaust. Attributed the noise and feel to a misfire and a scan that day found it to be cylinder 5 and 6.
The codes thrown were as follows:
Now ive replaced an o2 sensor on Bank 1 sensor 2, but that bad sensor just resulted in a jump in revs, not a misfire.
Could the o2 sensor be causing both cylinders to misfire?
Ive already replaced all 6 plugs and replaced the 5 and 6 coil packs because im broke. I tested the wiring harness into the packs and also the injector harness' for 5 and 6 and the test light kicks right on. Ive read but cant find, that the test light should blink when testing the injector connections, true?
I unplugged the MAF this morning and that didnt change anything.
Im just at a stand still and i drive for my job and my 325 is sitting around with timing issues so any help with the misfire diagnosis would be great.
