changing oil once a year?

hello M3 purists,

I own a 2005 M3 convertible with 39,000 miles. The machine is driven mostly on weekends. The oil was changed more than 1 year ago; however, next scheduled service will not be until 46,000 miles. The M3 is still under factory warranty. Regardless of the miles driven, should the oil be changed at least once a year? I'm sure this service will be paid out of pocket. Currently, the beast is hibernating in the garage. Another question, since its isn't driven as often, do I need fuel stabilizer? Comments, suggestions, etc. are greatly appreciated.
