What ever you do make sure your effective compression ratio stays at or below 12.5:1 and run 91 octane or nothing will keep the thing together. There are kits to do what your attempting out there complete with bar and plate inter coolers and plumbing. Get a turbo timer, follow the directions and be prepared to spend some bucks on tuning to get it right and reliable. Cheapest thing you can actually do is a dry NOS system with the nessecary upgrades. It only works when you need it and doesn't hog premium gas like its going out of style.
