I checked on my Touring for the first time in 3 months.
She's been sitting on the drive for the whole time, and in spite of the wet weather the brake discs aren't even rusty (thanks Brembo!). Yesterday, I needed to push her a bit away from the garage door to get some stuff out. Turned out the central locking wasn't working. So yeah, the first thought proved true, batterie's dead. So I hoocked up the charger and let her sit for about 24 hours. This evening I checked the car out again, removed the charger, vacuumed out the engine bay (the storms pushed in quite a lot of leaves, and I don't want them to keep the moisture in there). I then turned on the ignition to check the electrical system, (didn't start him up, tho) and everything is working. Exept the frost killed my aux-cable, but that's okay
so I guess tomorrow or whenever my bro's not watching (he's home for the weekend and doesn't want me to drive the car since the plates r turned in) I'll go to a private road around the corner to have her run a bit. Just to check out everything, get the bit of rust off the breaks and straighten out the tires.
Then she'll go back into the drive to wait till April when I'll registrate her again
