well i typed zay, a long E and Kaf. which should read ZEEK in my primitive mental translations. (arabic only writes long vowels, not shorts. shorts are represented via accent marks)
but yes it was a Muslim greeting, meaning basically peace to you,

i am taking Arabic in college, and added Arabic script to my comp. so im trying it out.
if i remember correctly hes from Brunei and speaks Arabic. though iv been missing from this forum for a while. so i dunno if hes even still around these parts nowa days
