2004 X3 2.5i. I would never have considered a BMW except we bought the 16 year old a 1997 318ti with 166K miles. I was so impressed with the quality and performance that I traded my '02 Silverado Z71 for the X3. So far, I absolutely love it! The dealership is installing cruise control next week and we should be good to go.
Down the road, I'll probably look to trade up to the X5 4.4i. The great thing about driving a Bimmer is that there are less than 10 of them where I live so I get a lot of looks. I'll post pics as soon as I get a clear day (4" of snow last night).
A little about me--my life has changed dramatically in the last 2 years. In '06, I had facial reconstruction due to a congenital defect that I was supposed to "grow out of". Then in '07, I had a gastric bypass (down 150 lbs so far), and just for good measure, I married the love of my life
. She did, however, come with 3 teenage girls (19, 18, 16 (Oh, the drama
)). So, now I'm thin (sorta), good-looking (relatively speaking, of course), I'm happily married, AND I roll in a Bimmer. Life is very good!
