hi, i have a bmw e39 535 auto steptronic 1997.

All the up gear changes are smooth, by when the car down changes from 5th to 4th the car jerks and the change is not smooth.

what is the reason for this and is there anything i can do about it. the gearbox works fine for everthing else.
