Wrong. The ONLY differences between the I and the IS versions of the E36 3-series is due to the differences between having 2 or 4 doors. i.e. doors, taillights, some body panels, etc. The only changes in bumpers to the E36 is between the 1993 to 1994 body style. The front bumper changed from a large slat type to a smaller slat type. Also, in 1997-1999 (only 1999 on the M3, btw), the grill became slightly wider. If you don't believe me, just go to a parts website. I don't endorse Pelican Parts, but they're the easiest to search through. If you look at the shocks, there is ONE shock or strut (depending on if you want front or rear) for the 325i/is/iC. In fact, if you go through the online catalog, you'll find that just about everything for the 325 says 325 i/is/iC, excepting, of course, the above mentioned parts. The LSD is an option. I'd get out my original window sticker and quote you the price for one in 1993, but it's cold outside. The sport suspension is a $400 option, available to both i and is models. Heated seats and leather steering wheel is also an option. Again, I'd quote you the prices, but it's cold outside.
So, in conclusion, the only differences between the 325i and the 325is is the lack of the rear doors on the latter. Like I said earlier.
