I tried refilling her with 93 from shell and putting in a whole bottle of stp fuel injector cleaner and a whole bottle of stp gas treatment, which stopped the problem, however I got down around a half-tank tonight and when I pulled into my apartment she started doing it again. Is there a way to clean all the crap out of my gas tank, without physically removing my gas tank? Please help me...
As far as the manual is concerned, the lowest octane is 89. In CA we have 87, 89 and 91. What brand of gas did you use? BMW recommends top tier gas brands ie Shell, Chevron and Union 76 among others.

BMW does not recommend additives. If I were you, I'd put a few tanks of your usual 93 in and see how it goes. Just be careful not to run the tank too low, this could damage the fuel pump. Good luck.
