Wow,
i did this so long ago. Installion shouldn't cost more than $=$200. The part itself is about $200.
Everything parts and labour should be about $500.
The e46 and e90 rear shade should fit on the e36.
Go the www.realoem.com to find the part numbers and prices.

Or you can go cheaper and order the manual one.
and just install it wih screws and clips.

I bought mine off eBay...Do a search on eBay for "BMW rear shade"
and a few of these shouldcome up.

Just get the measurements and make sure it fits your car. 2 door E36s are wider than 4 door E36s as well so keep that in mind.
