He wanted the 1911 more as a collectors piece to hold onto. But since we couldn't find one for a reasonable price (even by 1911 standards), we just got him the Glock 23 to go plinking with. We tried getting him a 9mm plinker, but he insisted that even if it was only meant for plinking, he wanted the stopping power of something a little more substantial just in case it ever needed to be used for something other than plinking (i.e. Home Defense).
Anyone see the new H&K 416 upper for the M4 available for spec ops units? Replaces the gas sysem with a pushrod system keeping the system cleaner and cooler and reduces barrel wear.
