BS. all of it. the only reason you have 100k mile fluid in there is because BMW decided that to attract more people to the brand, they have to lower owner maint costs. to do this, they began the "bmw pays maint costs" campaign. and to save them money there, they started lifetime fill garbage.

again, they dont care because they already tagged you and you paid them. they can care less about the longevity of the car itself. and guess what happens when it fails at 120k miles? that was the lifetime of the tranny.

trannies can easily last past 300k miles if cared for, so a failed tranny at 120k miles is terrible. additionally, i am sure he can count failed trannies on one hand because this program is only a few years old, and most people who buy new bimmers dont rack up the miles. 5 years from now when trannies begin to fail, they wont be taken to a bmw dealer for repair. they will be scrapped or repaired by an independent dealer, etc.

all those intervals are way longer than they should be. can it go that long? yes. should it go that long? no. just like you can smack the crap outta another person, but should you do it?

i would change the tranny fluid at least every 50k miles if not sooner. and coolant i would do every 2 years at the least.
