Your right it can be done - however it means buying an M5 bumper and getting it painted - also means getting an M5 boot floor as the spare wheel well on the M5 is different from the 540i, as the 540's is lower and off set to the right hand side when viewed from the rear, then getting the pipes re-located - its a fair wedge of cash and at the end of it only the back would look like an M5 - I'd still need front valence, headlights and mirrors to carry off the effect and even though it sounds fantastic a tru M5 would eat it easy so yes it can be done - but I most likely won't do it
