i think its a similar procedure.

I believe if you can get to the back of assembly you should see a few mounting screws/bolts and go from there.

That is if you can get to it from behind.

what does the bumper look like?

i know n my e46 its a pain in the ass, but my 318's asembly is relativly easy to remove. i assume the same for the e36
