It's 4:54 AM, and I just got a phone call about twenty minutes ago from a Detailer down at MEPS Atlanta saying that I need to ship out today. Someone got DQed who was supposed to ship today, and I'm taking his spot. I'm leaving the house here in about twenty minutes to go down for my ship day physical and then its off to RTC Great Lakes for 8 Glorious weeks of suck. From there, I'll be spending 12 Months In Goose Creek South Carolina for NF A school, and Nuclear Power School. Then I'll be in Ballston Spa, NY for 6 months before reporting to a submarine in the fleet somewhere. I'm hoping to get stationed in pearl, but who knows what i'm going to get.
At any rate, it was a good thing while it lasted to be a mod here at UB, but given the timetable and intensity of the training i'll be going through (in those 18 months in school, ill accumulate enough ACE credits for a bachelors degree in Nuclear Engineering), I'm not going to have time to be a Moderator here, and I'm stepping down.
Scooter, Witeshark, Rooz, Amanda, i'd have let y'all know about this sooner, but I literally just found out, and I'm just flat out out of time.
I wish you all the best of luck, and I'll stop in and say hello when I get a chance, but it won't be for a couple of months at the minimum.
