I am a new BMW owner. I need to replace part or all of the exhaust system on my 86 535i. I'm being told by my mechanic not to use the Cole or Midas Mufflers of the world. Are there any specific reasons why? It has got 186K miles on it and in need of a valve adjustment (I hope not a valve job) but she's not burning any oil and not smoking.
Also looking for a cable to repair the middle control on the heater/ac If anyone has one of these cables or knows where to get one I'd love to know
