On a sadder note, the guy who is teaching me to ride just crashed his bike trying to do a wheelie-ride-thing. Yeah, dumb. He was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Needless to say, his hands/wrist and legs are beat to shit with road rash.
Looking at his hands make me never want to ride without protective gear. I know we all say that we won't, but on a short trip it's easy not to take precautions. I just got my jacket and helmet today and I will NEVER ride without them. For everyone that does have a motorcycle, PLEASE be careful and don't be a dumbass, don't try and do "stunts", don't show off to your friends. It's seriously not worth it. He wasn't injured badly, but it's definitely enough to make you cringe by looking at it. His bike is worse, he cracked to valve cover and tore apart some body panels.
But in all seriousness, please be careful if you have a bike. Going fast is not worth your life.
